Which drum set would you perfer? (Info added)?
I want to get a drum set that I can use for a while, because right now I have a beginner set and I want an advanced one. Just based on the features, quality, price, and other stuff which one do you think would be better for a metal drummer?

I would go with the Tama kit in your case. You'll more than likely be much happier with the cymbals that come with this one than the Pearl. They are both made out of poplar so the basic sound is about the same. So look at the sizes, the drums are bigger as a whole on the Tama which will give you a deeper sound that will probably translate into the music better than the smaller shells of the Pearl. Quality wise they are basically the same, but the cymbals are Meinls which is really what sets the Tama kit above the Pearl quality wise. While you pay a little more I think you would be happier with the Tama and the cymbals it comes with than the Pearl.
